General Terms & Conditions

These Booking Conditions together with any written information form the basis of your contract with The Guest House (we or us). Regarding to these Booking Conditions, references to you and your party include the first named person on the booking and all persons on whose behalf a booking is made or any person to whom a booking is added or transferred.

​Our General Terms and Conditions apply to all of the three different ways to stay with us at The Guest House:

Bed & Breakfast, Catered Chalet & Self Catered.

However and in addition to our General Terms & Conditions each of the three separate ways to stay differ slightly in the way Deposits are Paid, Cancellation Agreements are applied and the Date and Timing of Full Payments. In making a booking you have read, confirmed and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

A booking is made with us when we have received a Non-Refundable Deposit or Full Payment and we  -The Guest House -has issued you with a booking confirmation.

When you receive your booking confirmation please check carefully that all your details, names and reservation dates are correct as this information forms the contract between you the client and us.

Important: Please confirm that the age of the first named person is over 18 years.

 

We also insist that all of our Guests have appropriate Travel, Medical, Accident, Property Damage, Sport and Cancellation Insurance.  Please ensure that you have the correct Sport & Skiing Insurance, and for any other activities that you may participate in. ( ie: On Piste or Off Piste Skiing & Snowboarding, Mountain Sports etc).

Force Majeure:

Except where otherwise stated in these booking conditions we will not be liable or  pay you compensation if you are affected by any event which we could not foresee or avoid.

These events can include but are not limited to war, threat of war, civil or terrorist activity, riots, industrial disputes, natural, nuclear, chemical, biological, fire, flooding and adverse weather, sea, ice, river, land, earthquakes, volcano, avalanches & landslides.

 

The Guest House offers accommodation only and cannot be held responsible for any Travel Delays, Travel Cancellations or Services, Bookings and Reservations made by you or on your behalf by a third party.

The Guest House: Liability to you and client responsibility

The Guest House will not be responsible or pay you compensation for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, expense, cost or other claim of any description if it results from:

  1. The act(s) and/or omission(s) of the person(s) affected.

  2. The act(s) and/or omission(s) of a third party unconnected with the provision of the services covered by these terms and conditions which were unforeseeable or unavoidable.

  3. Unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which could not of been avoided even if all due care had been exercised: or

  4. An event which The Guest House could not, even with all due care, have foreseen or forestalled.

  5. Clients must act with care at all times since the temperature and weather conditions do not always guarantee that the snow and ice can instantly be removed from all areas of the chalet paths and driveway - we accept no liability for accidents/injuries occurring under such circumstances.

  6. Clients are responsible at all times for their own personal documents, for their baggage, belongings and any hired skiing or sporting equipment.

  7. We will try to meet any special requests but cannot guarantee to do so. Please note that special requests do not form part of our contractual agreement and we have no liability if they were not met.

  8. Website accuracy: All reasonable care has been taken to make sure that the descriptions, facts or opinions on our website are correct to the best of our knowledge.

  9. Prices: Although every effort is taken to ensure that prices are accurate at the time of publication, price fluctuations due to circumstances outside of our control can occur and pricing may change prior to contracting.

Health & Allergies:

All Guests must notify us in writing at the time of booking if they or any of their party has any health problems, disabilities or allergies that may affect your stay. (The Guest House because of its Mountain location is unfortunately not  suitable for wheelchair access). If you failed to give us full details at the time of booking we reserve the right to cancel your booking and impose the applicable cancellation charges.

If you Cancel:

If you or any member of your party decides to cancel your confirmed booking you must do so in writing or via email and all cancellation charges will apply in relation to whichever way you have chosen to stay: Bed & Breakfast, Catered Chalet or Self Catered.

If we Change or Cancel:

We reserve the right to change or cancel any booking at anytime and without notice. If any changes are made then these are normally minor. However in the unlikely event of us having to cancel your accommodation except for reasons of Force Majeure or failure by you to pay the final balance we will try to offer you where possible the option of alternative accommodation  or a full refund for the cost of your accommodation only will be paid.

Complaints & Conduct:

We make every effort in making sure that your stay at the Guest House runs smoothly but if you have any problems during your stay please inform us immediately.

If however your conduct and behavior is not respectful to other guests or you willfully damage the property you will be liable to pay for any such damages and asked to leave
he Guest House immediately without refund for lost accommodation. Smoking is not permitted within the Chalet.

Pets:

Cats, Large or Dangerous Dog Breeds are not permitted. Small and friendly dogs that are house trained maybe permitted but guests must inform us in writing or via email at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in us canceling your reservation at your time of arrival without any prior notice or refund.

Additional Booking - Cancellation - Payment Conditions

With 3 different ways to stay please read and accept along with the general terms and conditions plus the additional terms & conditions that relates to your choice of stay and accommodation.

Client Cancellation:

The Party Leader must confirm any cancellation by the Client in writing or via email.The date on which we receive your written notification of cancellation will determine the level of cancellation charges applicable. The cancellation charges are expressed as a percentage of the total cost of your booking.

Client Cancellation Charges relates to all of the three different ways to stay:
Bed & Breakfast, Catered and Self Catered

 

We insist that all of our guests have appropriate Travel Insurance: Please note many travel insurance policies cover the eventuality of having to cancel a holiday in certain circumstances so please check with your own travel insurance policy that their terms are sufficient to cover your booking.

 

Refunds (following deduction of the cancellation charges) will be made to the client where the full balance has been paid otherwise we are entitled to recover the outstanding balance from you.

Bed & Breakfast Payment:

Bookings are confirmed once we are in receipt of your deposit and or full payment.

At the time of booking and prior to 2 weeks before your arrival date a non-refundable deposit payment of 30% of the total cost of your stay must be received by us. The outstanding 70% balance or full payment must be received and paid in full 2 weeks prior to your arrival date.

Bed & Breakfast Prices are per room including breakfast.

Bed & Breakfast Cancellation Charges as follows:

More than 2 weeks prior to your arrival - 30% (non-refundable deposit)

2 weeks prior to your arrival - 100% of the Total Cost of your booking.

 

To Note: During periods of high season ie: Christmas, New Year, Half Term, Easter, Bank Holidays and Major Sporting Events we reserve the right to ask for a higher percentage of deposit and or full payment.

 

Bed & Breakfast guests are subject to all of our General Terms & Conditions (see above).

Catered Chalet Payment:

Bookings are confirmed once we are in receipt of your deposit and or full payment.

 

If your booking is confirmed more than 10 weeks prior to your arrival date a deposit of 35% of the Full Payment Cost will be paid by you the client. Full Payment or the Full Outstanding Balance Payment must be received by us 10 weeks prior to your arrival date.

Our Catered Prices are based on two people sharing a room. Single Occupancy or Individual Rooms maybe charged a supplement at the time of booking.

Catered Chalet Cancellation Charges as follows:

More than 10 weeks prior to your arrival - 35% (loss of non-refundable deposit)

10 to 8 weeks prior to your arrival - 50%

8 to 4 weeks - 75%

4 weeks or less - 100%

 

To note: In addition Catered Guests are subject to all of our General Terms & Conditions (see below)

Self Catered Payment:

Bookings are confirmed once we are in receipt of your deposit and or full payment.

 

If your booking is confirmed more than 10 weeks prior to your arrival date a deposit of 35% of the Full Payment Cost will be paid by you the client. Full Payment or the Full Outstanding Balance Payment must be received by us 10 weeks prior to your arrival date.

Self Catered Cancellation Charges as follows:

More than 10 weeks prior to your arrival - 35% (loss of non-refundable deposit)

10 to 8 weeks prior to your arrival - 50%

8 to 4 weeks - 75%

4 weeks or less - 100%

Self Catered Security & Damage Deposit:

A Security & Damage deposit may be required to cover any damage and additional costs incurred during your stay. Where this is requested payment must be authorised on or prior to your arrival. If no damage has been incurred during your stay you will be refunded the full security deposit within two weeks of your departure.

Refunds may be delayed if the cost of any repairs have to be determined.

You will be liable for any breakages or damage to the property, it’s contents and any damage to adjacent properties. This includes any damages caused by you and any member of the client party, your employees or visitors to the property. These costs will be deducted from the security deposit. If the damage and costs are greater than the amount of the security deposit or if no security deposit has been arranged you must immediately pay the full amount of the costs and repairs.


 

To note: In addition Self Catered Guests are subject to all of our General Terms & Conditions (see above).

All Bookings & Reservations are subject
to your agreement of our Full Terms & Conditions.
